Derbyshire Dales District Council is not anticipating a major impact on its services as a result of strike action today (Thursday 10 July) called by the Unison, GMB and Unite unions.
Our four leisure centres in Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock and Wirksworth are open as usual, as are our receptions desks. Household waste and recycling collections by our contractor Serco are also carrying on as normal.
The unions have announced that their members are being called out on strike in support of their rejection of the Employers' full and final pay offer.
