Fireworks night is on!

Despite recent heavy rain, the special fireworks night at our Matlock Bath Illuminations goes ahead as planned on Saturday (29 September).

The fabulous parade of decorated boats at this year's Matlock Bath Illuminations With good weather forecast for Saturday, the height of the River Derwent should not prevent another great Illuminations night.

Entertainment gets underway at 7pm in the District Council's Derwent Gardens, followed by the parade of decorated and illuminated boats at 8pm and the fireworks finale at 9.

We're preparing for another busy evening on Saturday and people planning to make the trip are urged to look at alternative transport arrangements, including the local train service and park and ride.

Entertainment and the boats parade are also scheduled for Sunday evening (30 September) from 7.
