Free events for local business

Marketing and social media are the themes of two upcoming free events in the Peak District for local businesses, organised by Business Peak District.

Business Peak District logoThe Royal Hotel in Hayfield is the venue on Wednesday 19 September for a morning packed with informative and helpful advice for local businesses on marketing. For anyone looking to use their website and email marketing campaigns to attract new customers, this event will help you bring your website alive and promote your business.

Duncan Wright, of BSA Marketing and Business Peak District will introduce the seminar.  The Royal Hotel event on 19 September runs from 9.30am to 1pm and other speakers include Dina Holland and Anna Brown of Derbyshire Retail Help who will help with online selling skills, and David King of David John King who will show you how to pep up your website with video and images.

Booking is essential by 17 September as places are limited and FREE. Bookings can be made online

The following week, Bakewell is the location for a social media event. On Wednesday 26 September, the Agricultural Business Centre hosts a morning to help businesses promote themselves through social media, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and blogging. The seminar, run by Business Peak District in association with Henmore Marketing, will explain why and how businesses are maximising social media tools and how you can join in the action.

The National Park Authority's rural business advisor will both be on hand to provide advice on both days, and Derbyshire Dales Business Advice will be at the Bakewell event to talk to any local businesses with growth ideas.
