Olympics launched - at Carsington!

Hours before the official opening of the London 2012 Games there's a real Olympics feel to the Derbyshire Dales' own summer spectacular at Carsington Water.
Village Games 2012 has an Olympic and Paralympic theme, with a host of demonstrations, taster sessions and fun for all the family from 10am to 2pm this Friday (27 July).
Most activities are free as local sports clubs and providers showcase their talents. Other attractions include inflatable fun, arts and crafts, a barbecue, fun run, parachute games, football, tug of war, archery, wildlife walks, face painting and much more.
