Photos from the Torch Relay

What an amazing turn-out in the Derbyshire Dales as on Friday 29 June the Olympic Torch was cheered through one of the most beautiful areas on the Relay map.

We're still updating our Flickr gallery of photographs from the Torch's tour of Matlock, Darley Dale, Bakewell and Ashbourne, where tens of thousands of people gathered to welcome the iconic flame.

Derbyshire Dales District Council led partner groups in organising a host of events around the Torch's visit on Day 42 of its trip to the Olympic Stadium in London.

Below are some taster images - and a massive thank you from everyone involved in the organisation to you for turning out in such huge numbers.
