Dignity & respect for all
The purpose of the District Council's Dignity and Respect for All policy: 'Your rights and what to do if they are not respected' is to encourage people living, working and visiting the Derbyshire Dales to show consideration and appreciation to one another and to treat each other fairly.
First developed in 2006, the policy has been updated recently and re-launched as part of the District Council's equalities programme for 2011/12.
The Dignity & Respect Leaflet [PDF 142KB] sets out the policy, which includes a form for reporting any incidents infringing a person's right to dignity and respect and contact details for a range of agencies able to provide advice. Further copies are available from the District Council's First Stop Shops at Ashbourne, Bakewell and Matlock.
