As residents of Derbyshire Dales, you are eligible to vote in a number of local and central government elections providing your name is included on the Register of Electors.
The district is divided into 25 wards, with each ward returning between one and three councillors. There are a total of 39 borough councillors.
Current Political Make-Up
Following the May 5 election and a recent by-election the political make-up of Derbyshire Dales Distirct Council is:
- Conservative - 29 seats
- Labour - 5 seats
- Liberal Democrats - 4 seats
- Independent - 1 seat
