Verges
We are responsible for the mowing of verges under an agency agreement with Derbyshire County Council. The main purpose of this is to enhance road safety.
The mowing schedule is set by the county council.
Mowing is undertaken in urban areas with a 30mph limit six times a year. Five of these are paid for by the county council and we provide a further cut in order to improve the quality of service.
In rural areas flail mowing is carried out once or twice a year as determined by the mowing schedule.
