Road and Pathways Maintenence

Derbyshire County Council  as the highways agency is responsible for the repair of roads and pavements, street lighting, road markings and signs.

We have responsibility for

  • Public conveniences
  • Street cleaning
  • The removal of fly tipping
  • The removal of abandoned vehicles
  • The erection of stalls and the cleaning of markets  
  • The cutting of grass on verges.
  • The erection of street name plates.
  • The emptying of gullies.
