The National Trust

The National Trust manages large estates within or near the borders of the Derbyshire Dales District:         

• High Peak Estate (within adjoining district of High Peak)
• Ilam Country Park (within the adjoining district of Staffordshire Moorlands)
• Longshaw Estate, near Hathersage

Severn Trent Water

Severn Trent Water provides visitor parking at Carsington Water and the Upper Derwent Valley.

Derbyshire County Council

Visitor parking is provided at Cromford Wharf, close to Arkwright Mill, and at nearby Middleton Top and Black Rocks, both alongside the High Peak Trail.

Privately Operated Car Parks

Long and short stay car parks are located at Bakewell Bridge and Smith's Island, in the centre of Bakewell and accessed from Baslow Road. Both are pay and display, providing daytime parking only.  

Most visitor attractions, retail outlets, hotels and guest houses are likely to provide dedicated visitor parking, but you are advised to check, prior to your visit.
