Friday "Kick Start" Weekly Walks 1.45pm - meet at the Federation Base at Unit 7, Lime Tree Business Park, Lime Tree Road, Matlock, DE4 3EJ
Local walks with a friendly group. All abilities welcome with the pace set by the walkers themselves. Meet up at 1.45pm for a 2.00pm start for a walk of up to an hour , an hour and a half plus time for refreshments.

Thursday Monthly Easy walks 1.30pm – 2.30pm
Supporting the well-being of Peak District Farming Communities
A gentle afternoon walk, monthly on Thursdays. Meet at 1.15 for a 1.30 – 2.30pm walk, with the opportunity for refreshments and a good chat afterwards!
Our walks are short and ‘Easy’ but may involve some stiles or ascents/descents over a short distance. They have been chosen to ensure we are on good surfaces whatever the weather, however, in the event of extreme weather conditions, please contact the Centre beforehand on 01298 85162 to confirm the walk is going ahead
Longshaw Estate, approx. 2 miles
Thursday 20 July
Park in the main National Trust Car Park for the Longshaw Visitor Centre (woodcraft car park) off the Owler Bar Road, above Grindleford (small fee). Meet outside the Visitor Centre itself. The walk is a very scenic circular walk with far reaching views across the moors on good footpaths and few gentle inclines. To be followed by tea and cakes at the Longshaw Visitor Centre.
Church town is a small village 4 miles from Matlock just off the A6, reached from the Bakewell side of the A6 following signs to Parish Church at 30 mph signs entering Darley Dale. The walk is a pleasant flat walk crossing towards Oker following the Derwent river and across the gated road. Coffee and cakes at the Tall Trees café.
Bretton, approx. 1.5 to 2 miles
Thursday 17 August
Park and meet in the car park at the Barrel Inn at Bretton. The highest pub in Derbyshire (just above Foolow). The walk will be discovering the area around Bretton which has stunning views across farmland and moors. Good farm tracks and quiet roads. We will have refreshments after the walk at the Barrel pub who are remaining open to serve us coffee or other liquid refreshments.
Eyam, approx. 2 miles
Thursday 14 September
Park and meet in the village of Eyam in the free car park which is opposite Eyam Hall. This circular walk which begins in the fascinating plague village of Eyam takes in the ancient silk road and passes hidden derelict quarries. We return to the village for refreshments at the Eyam Hall café.

Roll and Stroll Accessible Walks
1st Monday of the Month 11.00am (March - October)
Enable have been providing care and support services to people with learning difficulties since 1990. We also provide supported housing for people aged 55 and over, and a range of other services to vulnerable people.
Roll and Stroll are fully accessible walks led by qualified walk leaders. The walks start and finish from the venue where the pace and length of walk are set by you. Disabled parking, good food, refreshments and accessible toilets (sometimes radar keys) are available – bring a packed lunch or get some lunch at the cafes.
If you need someone to support you please don’t come on your own as unfortunately we can’t offer any additional support. Please ring with any questions.
Last year we have run very successful walks from Hassop Station along the popular Monsal Trail, from Carsinton Water Visitor Centre along the resevoir edge, and from Cromford Wharf along the beautiful Cromford Canal.
Wear appropriate shoes and check the weather forecast and bring waterproofs or a brolly if necessary.
Monday 3 July – Cromford Canal Wharf 11.00am – 1.00pm
Cromford Wharf, Mill Road, Cromford. DE4 3RP. Joining us are friends of Cromford Canal, who are happy for walkers to use their narrowboat ‘Birdswood’ to complete part of the journey to or from the Lea Pumping Station just past High Peak Junction (1.2 miles). Unfortunately at present the boat isn’t accessible for wheelchair users.
Monday 7 August – Carsington Water 11.00am – 1.00pm
Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE6 1ST. Meet by the disabled parking outside the visitor centre. There is a lot to do at the centre which is accessible for all, automatic doors, accessible toilets, a shop, picnic area and a good café to rest in after a lovely walk!
Monday 8 September – Whitworth Park/ Centre 11.00am – 1.00pm
Station Road, Darley Dale, Matlock, DE4 2EQ. Meet outside the great park café for a lovely easy walk around the paths and newly finished cycle tracks that wind through the park - free car park at Whitworth Centre on A6

New Monthly Dementia Friendly Walks in Whitworth Park, Darley Dale
Second Tuesday of the Month at 1.30pm.
Starting Tuesday 11 July, 8 August, 12 September
We are teaming up with ‘Making Space’ (Derbyshire Dementia Support Service) to offer new Dementia Friendly short walks around lovely Whitworth Park. These wheelchair friendly easy walks link into the Activity Groups and Carer Support Groups that Making Space currently organise.
These walks will enable those living with dementia and carers supporting loved ones to enjoy gentle exercise, good company and the great outdoors. We guarantee a warm welcome and a programme of walks designed specifically for you at your pace (15 – 60 mins)

Dales Heart Cardiac Support Group
Dales Heart is a group of people with heart disease plus their spouses, partners and carers, offering mutual support in a social setting.
We meet on the 4th Wednesday of the month at different venues.
