Matlock walks

Fortnightly Hurst Farm Monday morning walks

Walk leaders:Helen and Graham

Meet at Hurst Farm Community Centre, 6 Hazel Grove. Come and join us for a nice

friendly walk usually (except January) on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.

 

 

 

Walking’s great for meeting new people and putting a smile on your face. Start at a

 

pace that’s right for you and gradually build up as you get more confident. Tea and

 

Coffee afterwards. Bring your Gold Card as we may hop on a bus into Matlock.

Thursday morning walks (weekly)

Here are two walks at the same time around the park and central Matlock area. Walking as part of a small group is a good way to start and keep going. You will make friends, encourage each other and discover new walks in and around your neighbourhood. They are perfect for people who don't fancy intense exercise. You can start off slowly and build up gradually as you get more confident.

We also share cars and walk further afield on good surfaces - Edensor, Black Rocks, Cromford, Alport, Bakewell, Whitworth Park, Conkesbury Bridge, Stanton Moor. Routes are chosen on the day.

Walk leaders: David, Graham, Hilary, Linda, Peter, and Howard 

Walk level: Entry and Very easy walk
Time: 10.00am
Duration: Up to 30 mins and 30 - 75mins
Meeting point: Bandstand, Hall Leys Park, Matlock

Friday "Kick Start" Weekly Walks 2.00pm

We usually meet at the Derbyshire Federation for Mental Health Base at Unit 7, Lime Tree Business Park, Lime Tree Road, Matlock, DE4 3EJ at 1.45pm for a 2.00pm start for local Easy walks for 60 - 90 minutes with a friendly group.

All abilities welcome with the pace set by the walkers themselves for a walk of up to an hour , an hour and a half plus time for refreshments.
