Tai Chi is an ancient Taoist system of complete health and fitness through promoting balance and stability in both body and mind. The slow flowing movements increase circulation and strengthen the connective tissues, whilst the mind becomes quiet and aware.
Tai Chi promotes relaxation, reduces stress both in the body and mind, improves mental focus, improves breathing and enhances co-ordination.
What to expect at a session
The session will include gentle external movement designed to work connective tissues and core stability rather than large muscle groups, exercises to focus the mind and breathing, and finally a "relaxation meditation".
Wear light comfortable clothing, and either light shoes or bare feet.
