Recycling centres

A wide range of your household refuse can be recycled
We operate ‘bring’ recycling sites across the district. This is in addition to the ‘Blue Box’ Scheme collecting glass, cans, paper and cardboard for recycling from the edge of property and your Green Bin compostable collection for garden waste and kitchen waste. Cardboard Recycling

Residents can recycle cardboard in their blue bags or take it to a Household Waste Recycling Centre operated by Derbyshire County Council. There are sites at Harrison Way, Northwood, Darley Dale (DE4 2LF), Mayfield Road, Ashbourne (DE6 2BJ), Stonegravels, Chesterfield (S41 7LF) and Waterswallows, Buxton (SK17 7BJ).  The sites are open from 8.30am to 6pm daily.  

Recycling Sites in the our Area

Please don’t visit recycling sites very early in the morning or late at night to avoid disturbing neighbours. Please help us to keep the sites tidy by putting items in the correct banks and taking bags and boxes home.
