Planning committees
Derbyshire Dales District Council are responsible for the determination of applications for planning permission and listed building consent outside of the Peak District National Park.
In accordance with Central Government advice and sound planning practice, the majority of applications submitted to the Authority for determination are determined under delegated authority which we have granted to the Head of Planning Services following consultation with Elected Councillors. The remaining applications are determined by either the Central and Northern Area Planning Committee or the Southern Area Planning Committee.
Meetings of the Central and Northern Area Planning Committee are held at the Town Hall, Bank Road, Matlock. The Committee deals with applications submitted in the following Parishes:
- Birchover
- Bonsall
- Cromford
- Darley Dale
- Matlock Bath
- Matlock Town
- Middleton
- Northwood & Tinkersley
- Rowsley
- South Darley
- Stanton
- Tansley
- Wirksworth
Meetings of the Southern Area Planning Committee are held at the Ashbourne Sports & Community Centre, Leisure Way, Ashbourne. The Committee deals with applications submitted in the following Parishes:

The agenda and any reports will be available five working days before the meeting. The minutes of the meeting will be available within one week of the date of the meeting.
