We have received an area application from Brailsford Parish Council under section 64G of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 (As amended by the Localism Act 2011) which seeks the designation of the whole of the Parish of Brailsford as a Neighbourhood Area.
Following the completion of the six weeks consultation period, the application for designation of the area as a Neighbourhood Area was approved under the District Council's Scheme of Officer Delegation on 7th April 2015.
In March 2017 Brailsford Parish Council/ Neighbourhood Plan Group undertook consultation under Regulation 14 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. The comments made and actions taken will be included in the Consultation Statement when the Neighbourhood Plan Group submit the Plan to the District Council under Regulation 15.
In accordance with European Directive 2001/42/EC and the associated Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 a further stage of Neighbourhood Plan development will be a screening report on the draft Neighbourhood Development Plan to determine whether it requires a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) to be carried out. This will be undertaken by the District Council and when completed it will be posted here.
