Local people once again had an opportunity to have their say at Derbyshire Dales District Council’s latest round of Area Community Forums.

More than 180 local people had fun in the sun at the Derbyshire Dales’ first Sport Relief Mile on Sunday (21 March).

Around 300 soldiers of the Mercian Regiment, all of whom have recently returned from a six-month tour of Afghanistan, took part in a Freedom March through Matlock on Friday 19 March.

Derbyshire Dales District Council’s next Bakewell Farmers’ Market takes place this Saturday (27 March) from 9am to 2pm.

The Chairman of East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) has described Derbyshire Dales District Council’s £12-million leisure centre project as “an iconic development that will put Matlock on the map for all the right reasons”.
