The Derbyshire Arts Development Group

The Derbyshire Arts Development Group is an association of participatory arts organisations, local authorities and other arts groups, which exists to promote the development of professional arts in the county for the benefit of the people who live, work in and visit Derbyshire.

Aims

  1. To identify mutual strategies for arts development in Derbyshire.
  2. To form collaborations to promote and deliver these strategies.
  3. To advocate for the development of the arts in Derbyshire.
  4. To identify and respond to opportunities to maximise resources to promote and deliver joint arts initiatives.
  5. To ensure accessibility to arts activities throughout the county.

Objectives

  1. To identify the common strategic aims of its members.
  2. To establish working groups to promote specific initiatives relating to the above aims.
  3. To represent the Derbyshire Arts Development Group on local, regional and national forums.
  4. To identify and develop new partnerships with external organisations.
  5. To identify relevant speakers to ensure an effective dissemination of information.
  6. To maximise joint training initiatives.
  7. To represent the Derbyshire Arts Development Group at every tier of government.
