We have a limited number of allotments available to the public for rent. These are situated at Haddon Road Bakewell and Hurds Hollow Matlock.
A growing number of people are discovering the benefits of allotment gardening to grow your own food, or for the healthy exercise.
Whether you are an expert gardener or novice, please remember you are not alone and that there is a wide range of help, advice and assistance available should you need it.
Why have an allotment?
Allotment gardening can be a rewarding pastime and can make a valuable contribution to the quality of people's lives. If you want to keep fit, be out in the open air, grow your own food and get to meet people with similar interests - allotments are for you.
Cultivating an allotment provides an affordable source of fruit and vegetables, an essential part of a healthy diet. If they are organically grown, you will reduce your exposure to pesticides, herbicides and fungicides.
Can I have an allotment?
As space is limited, demand is very high and we have a waiting list in place. Please get in touch with us should you wish to be added to the waiting list, or have any general questions relating to our allotment spaces.
