Services for vulnerable people in the Derbyshire Dales funded by Supporting People includes all of the Sheltered Housing Schemes for older people, an accommodation project for ex-offenders, a generic floating support scheme which assist vulnerable people with a range of issues, a homeless families project and several houses for women fleeing domestic violence. A range of other services are also available to assist people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. More information is available from the Community Housing Team.
Sheltered housing is advertised through our Choice Based Lettings Scheme called Home-Options, visit the website by clicking the link below.
A new website has also been launched to help older people and their families with advice and information on the housing options for older people, visit the website by clicking the link below.
We work with Age Concern to assist older people with their housing options. Independent advisors employed by Age Concern are able to visit older people in their own homes and help with benefit checks, exploring options to stay at home or move and help to find services, which may assist older people.
