Missed bins/boxes/sacks
If your grey bin/black sacks, green bin, blue box or blue bag have not been emptied please make sure that you have followed our guidance regarding rubbish and recycling collections, including:
- the bins/sacks or bag or box were placed out on the correct collection day (please note collections at Bank Holidays are usually one day late)
- the bins/sacks or bag or box were placed at the edge of your property by 7am (unless you have applied for an assisted collection when they will be collected from your storage point)
- the bin lid was closed and the bins/sacks or box or bag were not overloaded or too heavy to empty
- no additional waste was placed next to the bin as side waste will not be collected
- a maximum of four sacks were presented for collection (only applies to properties on sack collections)
- the bins presented are those issued by the Council
- the grey bin only contains items which we accept (no stone, rubble, soil, liquid or hazardous waste)
- the green bin is not contaminated and only contains garden and kitchen waste
- the blue box is not contaminated and only contains glass bottles and jars
- the blue bag is not contaminated and only contains paper, cans and cardboard
- the waste was not stuck/wedged in your bin preventing the bin from being emptied
