Local Strategic Partnership

The Derbyshire Dales and High Peak Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) was set up in 2002.

LSP Logo

It is a partnership that brings together public, private, voluntary and community organisations to plan and develop services to meet community needs and it guides how the Peak District and Derbyshire Dales should develop over the next few years.

The LSP identifies where partners can work together more effectively, share and make the most of existing resources rather than having a pot of money to give out.

Sustainable Community Strategy 2009-2014

The LSP has produced a New Sustainable Community Strategy 2009-2014. The Strategy was finalised by the LSP Board in March 2009 along with the Sustainable Community Strategy action plans which can be viewed below. These action plans aim to tackle four Priority Challenges that have been identified and developed through extensive consultation with the community and partner organisations throughout 2008.

In June 2009, the LSP Board also finalised its first locality self evaluation looking back over the previous strategy period 2006-2009 to establish how the LSP area is doing against its own ambitions and targets.  An improvement plan was agreed by the Board in September to address the main issues and gaps identified in the self evaluation.

One of the actions identified in the plan is to better communicate the work being undertaken by LSP partners to tackle the effects of the recession.  A summary of partner activity has been produced and is available to download
