The following options are available on the on-line payments page:
you will need to enter the account reference number from your Council Tax bill in the ‘Reference Number’ box on the payments page (this is an eight digit number beginning with '3').
You will need the account reference number from your Rates bill in the ‘Reference Number’ box on the payments page (this is an eight digit number beginning with '7').
You will need the invoice number from your invoice in the ‘Reference Number’ box on the payments page (this is an eight digit number beginning with either '8' or '4').
This option should only be chosen where you are making a payment for a service where a bill or invoice has not been issued, for example, where you are making a payment as part of an application for a licence or a car park season ticket. You will need to select which service and which specific item within that service you are paying for.
When making a payment on-line, please be aware that it can take up to three working days for your payment to reach us.
Alternatively, you can make a payment by debit or credit card over the telephone on 01629 761295.
you can also check the balance outstanding on your Council Tax or Business Rates account. To do this, click on the following link (you will need the account reference number shown on your bill). Check your account balance (opens in a new window)
