Comments, Compliments, Complaints and Enquiries

At Derbyshire Dales District Council we take pride in the way we deal with our customers and try to provide the highest quality services at all times. We welcome your views on the district council and our services.

These can be general comments, suggestions or compliments. We take complaints very seriously and will investiagte promptly and fairly. There may be occasions when we cannot do what you want but we will be as helpful as possible and give you as much information as we can. What happens next?

  • All feedback is passed to the relevant officer, and / or relevant organisation.
  • If you provide us with your contact details you will be notified who it has been passed to.
  • Where possible we will reply to you within 10 working days, notifying you of the progress or outcome.
  • All feedback is carefully considered by the district council and used to ensure the highest standards of services are provided.

Data Protection: This form is not secure. Please don't include any confidential or sensitive information on it. We will treat any other personal information you provide in confidence and under the Data Protection Act 1998. We will hold it and only use it for a legal reason or for the purpose it is given. We will only share information when we have your consent or we need to ask another department or partner to respond to a specific comment or request you have made.

We will keep a record of the sender's Internet Protocol address (which is unique to the sender's computer), the date we received the form, and the content for back-up and archive purposes. We will also use this record to identify senders of any malicious content under the Protection from Harassment Act 1997. We will keep this record for a maximum of three months.
