Councillor Andrew McCloy

I am an enthusiastic and active member of my local community, for in addition to Youlgrave Parish Council I am also Chairman of Youlgrave Cinema, the village film club now about to launch its fourth season. I am Secretary of Bankside Wildlife Garden, a conservation project in Youlgrave recently featured on BBC Radio Derby; and I also edit The Bugle, Youlgrave's monthly community magazine that is delivered free of charge to every household in the parishes of Youlgrave and Middleton & Smerrill (including all the outlying farms).

Another local group that I am pleased to be involved with is Sustainable Youlgrave, a grass roots community organisation that is seeking to lower the carbon footprint of the villages of the River Bradford valley and forge a more sustainable future for us all.
