Electoral registration forms have been sent to all households in the Dales and must be returned to the District Council as soon as possible.
Over 26,000 households have so far responded. The highest response rates were from Winster and South Darley Ward, Brailsford and Great Longstone and the lowest were from Tideswell, Matlock Bath and Ashbourne North Ward. Householders have been able to register by post, telephone and on the internet.
David Wheatcroft, Chief Executive of Derbyshire Dales District Council, said: “There has been a fantastic response and I would particularly like to thank residents who chose to register electronically.”
