One of the best places in Britain to live, work and visit.

Reduce, reuse, recycle, promotion

Derbyshire Dales District Council have secured funding from DEFRA to encourage residents in the Dales to increase the amount of waste they recycle at home.

Two Recycling Promoters, Paul Smith and Letitia Underwood from the Groundwork Trust, will be visiting residents across Derbyshire Dales to promote reducing, recycling and composting waste.  Recycling Promoters, Paul Smith and Letitia Underwood

Paul and Letitia will be able to answer residents’ questions about what can be recycled in the Derbyshire Dales and encouraging residents to make the most of their blue box and green bins.

While Paul and Letitia are starting in Ashbourne, they will be visiting other areas in the district between now and April.

The promotion project is funded by DEFRA (Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) through a Waste Performance and Efficiency Grant, which is distributed by the Local Area Agreement Board.
