Recycle your brochures and catalogues

Over 43% of waste recycled in Derbyshire Dales is made up of paper collected in the kerb side collection and at paper banks across the district.

Derbyshire Dales District Council is reminding residents that telephone books, including the Yellow Pages, holiday brochures and shopping catalogues can all be recycled as well as newspapers, magazines and junk mail in the clear bag kerb side collections.

Residents can also cut down on the amount of junk mail they receive by signing up to the free Mailing Preference Service at MPS, Freepost 29 LON20771, London, W1E 0ZT, telephone 0845 703 4599 or sign up online at www.mpsonline.org.uk

For more information about rubbish, waste and recycling please contact Derbyshire Dales District Council. Call the Environment Hotline on 01629 761215, email environmenthotline@derbyshiredales.gov.uk or visit our environmental pages
