Derbyshire Dales District Council has appointed Tim Braund as its Head of Environmental Health.

Mr Braund was previously a Principal Environmental Health Officer at Derbyshire Dales and has worked at the District Council for 20 years.

Beginning his career in 1983, Mr Braund has 25 years experience in local government, previously working in Somerset with Sedgemoor District Council.

As Head of Environmental Health Mr Braund will be responsible for Food Safety, Health and Safety at Work, Environmental Protection, Private Sector Housing and Public Health in Derbyshire Dales.
