Derbyshire Dales District Council is working closely with Active Derbyshire Dales, the new Community Sports Network for the District, to try to get more people physically active across the area.

As part of the action plan, the partnership is staging a conference and workshop for local sports clubs and voluntary groups on Wednesday 14 May at the Agricultural Business Centre in Bakewell.

The workshops, which are provided free, include Safeguarding Children, Funding for Sport, Valuing Volunteers and what does a successful sports club look like.

All workshops are provided by experts in their field and will provide valuable and essential advice for clubs and community groups. All workshops will start after 4.00pm. To book a place you should contact Becky Burton 01629 761225 or email becky.burton@derbyshiredales.gov.uk.

The Conference, which starts at 12.30pm will be an opportunity to find out about the partnership, and what has been achieved over the last year.
