Farmers' Market to go ahead

Derbyshire Dales District Council would like to reassure shoppers that the Bakewell Farmers’ Market will take place as planned on Saturday 29 September 2007, despite fears that foot and mouth restrictions would affect its operation.

Bakewell Farmers’ Market is believed to be the second largest Farmers’ Market in the country, attracting around 4600 visitors and 70 stalls. As it is a produce market, selling locally produced goods, and not livestock, the market will go ahead as normal.

Bakewell Farmers’ Market runs from 9am to 2pm on the last Saturday of each month. For more information please contact 01629 813777.
