Deadline extended to suggest sites for housing

To allow everyone an opportunity to identify suitable sites for housing the deadline to suggest sites for possible future housing development in Derbyshire Dales, High Peak and the Peak District National Park has been extended until 14 April 2008.

Local residents, parish councils, developers and landowners are being asked to identify all land and buildings that they consider have potential for residential development. The information will help to create new planning policy to meet the future housing requirements of the area.

Derbyshire Dales District Council, High Peak Borough Council and the Peak District National Park Authority have commissioned consultants EKOS with Arup to undertake a preliminary assessment of the suitability of land and buildings.

To suggest a site, people need to fill in a site suggestion form which can be downloaded here.

The form is also available from the three authorities’ main offices in Bakewell, Buxton, Chinley, Glossop, Matlock and Ashbourne.

The form must be completed and returned to:

by Monday 14 April 2008.
