Ashbourne Leisure Centre from 14 to 26 November.
A presentation will be made at the Bakewell and Matlock Forums on the introduction of Decriminalised Parking Enforcement (DPE). DPE, soon to be known as Civil Parking Enforcement (CPE) is a government initiative that allows the Police to put more money into fighting crime as it transfers the responsibility for parking enforcement from the Police to the Highway Authority.
Derbyshire County Council, as the highway authority, has been taking the lead on a countywide feasibility study involving both off and on-street parking. Any solution needs to have the complete understanding and co-operation of the county and district councils and the approval of Derbyshire Constabulary.
The results of the study are expected to be announced shortly and it is hoped that DPE/CPE can be introduced into Derbyshire during 2008. More information is available on the
County Council’s websiteA representative from Derby County Primary Trust will attend the Forum at Hulland Ward to talk about the new hospital at Ashbourne.
There will also be a Question Time session for Dales’ residents to raise concerns, air views and ask questions on local services.
As well as senior officers and Members from the District Council, there will also be representation from Derbyshire County Council, Peak District National Park Authority, Derbyshire Constabulary and Derbyshire Fire & Rescue.
