Description: Gateway Through the Arts was one of the Leader+ projects operating in the rural areas of the High Peak, Derbyshire Dales and Staffordshire Moorlands. The project's aims were to work with women and young people to develop participatory arts activities, encouraging them to explore their own creative potential in whichever medium they chose. These activities could be developed at whatever level was appropriate to the members of the group from enjoying creative activities for their own sake to developing skills that might be used in future career or enterprise development.

Geographic area: Leader + parishes (parts of the Derbyshire Dales, High Peak and Staffordshire Moorlands).

Structure: Partnership with statutory and community organisations
