Description: Run by artists and for artists, Arts in the Peak collects and distributes news of funding opportunities, commissions, festival planning, etc. and works to ensure that official policies, strategies and documents take account of the key issues for those working in this loosely defined but distinctive rural area. Membership of Arts in The Peak is open to individuals and organisations who hold to the objects of its Constitution.

Type of work: Seminar, workshops and training, developing artist opportunities and disseminating information.
Aims:
- To develop opportunities for professional artists to have a creative input into sustaining and where appropriate improving the physical, cultural and economic environment of the Peak District;
- To provide new opportunities for artists to develop their professional practice within the Peak District;
- To raise the profile of arts within the cultural and economic sectors;
- To develop a support network for practicing artists, organisations and relevant partners (public, voluntary and corporate);
- To be proactive in finding, developing and supporting new partners and potential infrastructure developments in the Peak District;
- To aid in the process of establishing models of good practice and the dissemination of information relating to other projects and models of working.
