Terms and Conditions

Public Access provides you with access to Planning Applications received by Derbyshire Dales District Council. Users should note that Derbyshire Dales District Council only deals with Planning Applications which are not in the Peak District National Park, as those in the Peak Park are dealt with by the National Park Authority in Bakewell.

Initial planning documents will be available within 5 days of receipt for all valid planning applications and can be viewed via Associated Documents Tab within Public Access - these are only available for applications which were validated after July 2005. In all cases copies of the original documents are available to view at Planning Reception, Town Hall, Matlock, DE4 3NN and Ashbourne Leisure Centre, Leisure Way, Ashbourne, DE6 1AA (both are open Mon - Fri 9am till 5 pm). Please note that this system will be unavailable between 1am and 6am each morning while the system is being backed up.

Users must note that whilst every effort has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the data, the planning information contained within the site is incomplete and must not be used for carrying out a formal "Local Land Charges Search". It also cannot re relied upon to constitute a full planning history for a site. No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in planning information obtained and no liability is accepted for loss or damage arising from the use of planning information obtained from this site whether foreseeable or otherwise. Similarly, the information contained does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the user's own risk.

The Ordnance Survey map data included within this website is provided by Derbyshire Dales District Council under licence from Ordnance Survey; unauthorised reproduction infringes Crown Copyright and may lead to prosecution or civil proceedings.
  • Extract or re-utilise information derived from the Authority Datasets and / or any copies of such information, in any format, for any commercial or business purpose.
  • Modify, adapt, arrange, alter, adjust or make any additions to any information derived from the Authority Datasets, or combine such information with other mapping or data.
  • Reproduce, copy, download, store, record, broadcast, retransmit, distribute or disassemble any part of the website without prior written consent.

Please note that Section 47 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 protects plans, drawings and material submitted to the Council for the purpose of obtaining planning permission. You may only use material that is downloaded and / or printed from this website for consultation purposes, to compare current planning applications with previous schemes and to check whether developments have been completed in accordance with approved plans.

Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner.
