Environmental Education

Derbyshire Dales District Council is committed to increasing the awareness of local residents and visitors about local environmental issues and what we can all do to protect the environment around us.

Schools Support - Lesson ideas, lesson plans, activities and free downloadable resources for teachers.  Covers Waste, Recycling and the 3R's, Healthy Walks for pupils, Energy, Climate Change, Fair Trade and School Grounds.  Activities are linked to the National Curriculum, QCA schemes of work and would support work towards Eco-Schools status or work on the National Sustainable Schools Programme.
