You can save money just by doing no cost or low cost saving measures, the warmth of your home will be improved keeping you healthy. And the environment will benefit from reduced CO2 emissions.

What grants are there for loft insulation?

The WarmFront grant is available to those receiving an income related benefit and who are over 60, disabled, or have children under 16. Check on the Warmfront website to see if you qualify. Other discounted schemes available are shown on the latest scheme sheet.

Yes. There are grants available via Sungain and Low Carbon Buildings Programme.

I don’t know how efficient my house is can you help?

Ring the Energy Advice Centre on 01629 761304 and ask for a home energy questionnaire. You will receive a report based on your answers giving details of all ways to save energy within your home and any grants or schemes which are available to you.

I want to be environmentally friendly are there any alternatives to the usual loft insulation?

There are products on the market which use sheeps wool as insulation. It is treated to be fire resistant and is eco friendly, click on the Thermafleece link to find out more details on the product.
