Your Voice, Your Vote
Derbyshire Dales residents went to the polls on Thursday 3 May 2007 to choose their representatives on District and Parish Councils.
All of the 39 District Council seats were up for election. Each of the 72 Parish Councils in the District had several seats to fill - a total of 500.

Why is your vote vital?
Every day, decisions are made on behalf of residents - Councillors are your representatives in the decision making process. Past election turnouts show that Dales' residents value that opportunity to participate but even more need to be encouraged to do so.
Voting is the most important way to make your voice heard on the issues that concern you.
You must be on the electoral register to vote
Changes can be made to the electoral register all year round. If you have moved house since September or your name is not on the list, contact 01629 761335 for an application form NOW!

Postal voting
