Notice is hereby given that from 7th July to 1st August 2007 inclusive between the hours of 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, any person interested may, on application to the Corporate Services Department, Town Hall, Bank Road, Matlock, DE4 3NN, inspect the accounts to be audited of Derbyshire Dales District Council for the year ended 31st March 2008 and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating thereto and may make copies of all or any part of the accounts and those other documents.
Notice is also given that on or after 4th August 2007, at 10am until the completion of the Audit, the Auditor, at the request of a local government elector for any area to which the accounts relate, will give the elector or his representative an opportunity to question him about the accounts, and make any objections as to any matter in respect of which the Auditor could take action under Section 15 or 16 of the Audit Commission Act 1998.
Questions may be received at the Corporate Services Department by arrangement with the Auditor, Mr D Brumhead, Audit Commission, Littlemoor House, Littlemoor, Eckington Sheffield, S21 4EF (telephone (01246) 504300) to whom requests for this purpose should be addressed.
No objection may be made unless the Auditor has previously received written notice of the proposed objection and its grounds. A copy of any such notice must be sent to the District Council to the address below at the same time as the notice is sent to the District Auditor.
