Local Authorities are required to identify a plan to achieve 2.5% efficiency savings each year as part of the Government's 'Gershon' review. For Derbyshire Dales District Council, this equates to savings of £430,000 in 2005-06 and a further £332,000 in each of the years 2006-07 and 2007-08.
