Profile: Born and educated in Derby. Former Head of English at Derbyshire Comprehensive School. Chairman of Derbyshire Dales Constituency Labour Party. Current Deputy Mayor of Wirksworth and twice past Mayor. Active committee member of Wirksworth Civic Society, Wirksworth Twinning Association. I am married with 3 sons; my wife Irene is the Derbyshire County Council representative for Wirksworth Ward. As an active ward member I have links with Christian Aid, Amnesty International and Fairtrade. My priority is to represent the best interests of my electorate and to promote whatever will benefit my constituency and that of Derbyshire Dales.
