Profile:
I have been a member of Derbyshire Dales District Council since 1995, serving primarily on the Southern Area Planning Committee. In 2005 I took on the the chairmanship of the newly formed Audit Committee. This is proving to be very interesting as it provides a comprehensive picture of the work and responsibilities of the different departments of the Council.
My other interests centre on education, the Church and local life. I am the churchwarden of a beautiful little church just outside Ashbourne and I'm also a governor of a C of E (Aided) Junior school in Derby. My electoral division covers two fairly large villages with parish councils and several small places with parish meetings. I try to keep up to date with events and I'm always pleased for people to contact me regarding local issues - as they do of course! |
