Profile: I have been a Councillor for Derbyshire Dales District Council for over 18 years, and have been (through the District Council) on the Peak National Park Authority for about 8 years. I was a County Councillor for 8 years, until May 2005, when I did not stand again because the ward boundaries were considerably changed. On Derbyshire Dales I am on the committee for Central Planning; I am also on the planning committee for Peak Park. Many members on Peak Park will not talk to planning applicants because they are concerned with the Standards rules. Please feel free to ring me about any planning application. I will tell you that I cannot give you any commitment, but I will listen and will be happy to help you with who to contact and how to go about getting any information you may need. That is what an elected Councillor is for! Often residents do not know which council deals with which service. If you don't know, you are not alone! Again, please feel free to ring me and ask.
